lucy was an experimental system that provided an anonymous
ombudsman/advisor to the MIT community.  lucy was unable to keep pace
with the number of incoming questions in academic year 91-92.  The
office in which lucy was run could not allocate more resources, nor
could resources be found elsewhere in the Institute.  The office decided
that it would be better to suspend the service than to continue to run
it and give inadequate response to questions.  lucy has been suspended
indefinitely as of summer, 1992.
