MIT Managed Data Services (MDS) - Change Password

MDS is a MIT community-wide service allows the DLCs (Departments, Labs, and Centers) to store their data in a centrally hosted location. MDS maintains the consistency, integrity, and security of the data while enabling DLCs to update their data and join it with other data from central Institute systems.

MDS is maintained by the Data Administration and Warehousing Team of Information Services & Technology.

Change your password in the MDS Database:

To change your password in the MDS Database, do the following:

  1. Obtain MIT Web Certificates.

  2. Proceed to
    Change Your Password in the PRODUCTION MDS Database (mdsp).

    Change Your Password in the TEST MDS Database (mdst).
    Change Your Password in the DEVELOPMENT MDS Database (mdsd).
