The Stellar Images tool will allow faculty and students to collect images, organize and annotate, and then present them. This tool is not an image repository, but a tool that can access multiple image repositories and use those images as a teaching tool.

The Stellar Images team is now collaborating with the Thalia project from MIT Academic Computing.
This is the first milestone release.
An extensive rewrite is already underway to turn this into a more portable tool for the next full milestone release.
At that time, the separation of api from implementation will begin.
