Ready for C&B release (mainly there to enable others to ready - lockers' owners) 1 March - Have Install tested on a machine that it works : central - Have Update tested on a private station tested on a public station - Have a stable /os with prepatches (patches on release CD) os is 11/94 image + patches - Have a first cut /srvd xterm console login twm mwm (Solaris2.4 customizations not Athena) AFS3.4 cache and functions (fs, aklog, pts..) hesiod k functions tcsh - List of what is missing on /srvd have a list of what is missing attached - The customers for it will be : DCNSDEV (sorry for the name) ACS Limited number of people from CCS (letter goes to O. Thomas) B. During C&B 1 March-1 April - Test installation on Sparc 4 - C compiler should be tested (sunsoft, new gcc) - Rebuild all using new gcc - Integrate all changes in source tree so from now automatic builds possible - Solicit and apply all necessary patches - Dbugger should be tested - imake files should be tested (tmplates..) - fix telnet building - fix transcript building - fix perl building - run tests from wdc plan + make of a Hello world file - Prepare list of who:why alpha - collect and may be fix bugs from C&B users - list lockers which are ready - list of lockers not ready C. During alpha 1 April - andrew built - mkserv tests and built - gnu port and built - fix on weekly basis bugs discovered by alpha testers or by applying test plan D. Beta ready 1 May - test that all lockers are ready (existence of the sun4m_54 software) - fixed all alpha bugs - retest E. Release is ready 1 June
