StaffTools Locker


This locker contains programs and libraries which are too new to have
been included in that latest Athena release.  Frequently these are
simply newer versions of released tools with bugs fixed or new
features added.  While this software should still be considered
experimental, Athena will accept bug reports on it.  By design, the
contents of the StaffTools locker are less stable than the Athena
Workstation release but more stable than the development lockers.
There is no guarantee of backward compatibility between StaffTools and
the current Athena release(s); each individual developer is
responsible for the tool s/he places in this locker.  Generally, you
should be in contact with the developer responsible for a particular
tool before using the version here and bug reports should be sent
directly to the developer.  General problems with the locker can be
addressed to dot@ATHENA as a last resort.

As with other Athena software lockers, you should not assume that the
contents are public domain and/or freely copyable from the Athena
network to a non-Athena machine.
