Status as of 12/23/1997

This locker contains files from the Athena Backup project.  The
project has been terminated, as the vendor provided backup system was
improved enough to meet requirements while the project was being
developed.

   This locker contains files used by the Athena Backup project. The project
tried to produce a sofisticated Backup system, based on Oracle and Sun RPC.
In this locker there are some vestiges of the project like the initabs.ora,
which is the DB schema of the project, bugs reports for the alpha release...


   The locker may be useful if anybody wants to revive the project. When the 
project was cancelled, we consider the possibility of reviving it if ever
we have a non-AFS distributed file system for Athena.
