This is a list of development work which needs to be
done for the ABS


1.  Slave load balancing -  slaves should keep statitistics
    regarding transfer rates during AFS dump and restore
    operations.  If they notice that the transfer rate
    is decreasing, they should "slow" down their requests
    for data.  This will help ensure that dumps don't
    overload a server.


3.  Suppport for restoring from an AFS tape. (miki)


4.  code cleanup

5. Web interface for some of the db only commands.

6. Scan with insert option. Allows contents of Tape Scan
    to be inserted into the database.

7. Reports. SQL scripts to generate the following reports:
    volume to tape mappings. 
    show volumes not dumped during specified time period.


This is a list of future considerations for the ABS
1.  Support the concept of abs administrators for cells.
    Allow delegation of abs administrator function for
    certain cells.  This means that an abs administrator
    for a particular cell can only manage data related to
    that cell.


2.  Revisit the notion of having the ABS assign tapes
    to jobs so that operators are told which tapes
    to mount for dumps.


3.  Improved job cancellation semantics.

4.  Improved autoqueue mode.

5. Support for incremental dumps.

6. Support servers in other DNS domains
