WebEQ has been tested under Windows 95, 98 and NT. Unfortunately,
Java installations under Windows have historically been rather problem
prone. In particular, web browsers and Java installations have a
tendency to fight with each other. For example, installing an upgrade
to one web browser can cause another to quit functioning properly.
In general, diagnosing and fixing these kinds of problems can be very difficult. In many cases, the simplest thing to do is to uninstall and reinstall the malfunctioning piece of software. In particular, if the WebEQ Editor or Page Wizard seem to start and immediately shutdown, this is typically a problem with Java. Download the WebEQ installer which includes the Java virtual machine, and reinstall WebEQ. A few additional things to note about the Windows installation:
