The included file, COMPILE.TXT is part 5 of HOW TO CREATE 
BOOKS FOR YOUR NEWTON, an ongoing series of articles aimed 
at non-technical folks who want to create digital books for 
their Newton MessagePads, Sharp ExpertPads and all 
subsequent devices with Newton Intelligence. The series is 
meant to be read in its entirety if your goal is to make simple 
NewtonBooks.

This article gives tips for making sure that you have all NTK 
components installed properly, removing a bug in BookMaker, 
compiling your book, loading it onto your Newton, 
proofreading, sharing your book with the world, naming your 
files, and uploading them onto AOL.


Please don't assume that I'm a professional programmer or 
work for Apple.  I'm just a dedicated amateur, who got a wild 
idea to start publishing books for the Newton.  I have nagged 
other people and worked hard until I found the proper steps 
for creating a simple NewtonBook.  I then created this series to 
share what I have learned.

I'm seriously considering a more advanced coverage of all of 
the BookMaker dot commands and techniques.  Let me know if 
you would be interested in a full-length book, covering every 
technical detail.
