din_varg.ps by Peter da Silva (peter@ficc.ferranti.com) is an extremely short icon-drawing program. MOST COMPACT -- 1st prize -- The best program compaction, using secret PostScript tricks for shrinking. This program uses the characters of a string for currentpoint movement. How can (x,y) be derived from the string? Can you tell how it decides between rmoveto and rlineto? Notice that the author makes his picture an *icon*. Thus, even though the program uses a limited drawing tool, the resulting picture does not look underdrawn or too blocky. Icons are supposed to be sharp and blocky.
