For operating systems that do not already have support for SCSI, Mylex (the vendor of the SCSI bus adapter) provides documentation on how to install and configure the BT-958 adapter on its Web site at http://www.mylex.com. Refer to their documentation, specifically the MultiMaster Software User's Guide, for information about configuring the adapter in each guest operating system. Note that there are several flavors of BusLogic/Mylex SCSI adapters. The BT-958 is typically identified as a MultiMaster host adapter.
Note: VMware ESX Server does not support the AutoSCSI utility that is normally included on each BT-958 device. In practice this is not important because the utility is used mostly to manage hardware-related configuration data.
