The primary residence of the King of Chaos is Thelbane, a glassy needlelike castle over-looking the Abyss and the Pit of Chaos. Those who facilitate the daily running of Thelbane (the Lord Chamberlain, the Captain of the Palace guard, etc.), while not having any official power, do have a certain amount of unofficial influence due to their proximity to the King and are therefore generally accorded a certain amount of respect. The real power lies in the group of nobles more commonly referred to as the Royal Court.
The Royal Court of Chaos consists primarily of the the King Edward Helgram, his heir, Crown Prince Francis, (Edward's first cousin), and a half dozen of so nobles who hold important positions in the government of Chaos. Some of the more notable of these include:
Lord Chancellor, Tybalt, Duke of Minobee
Lord General, Tobin Hendrake
High Priest of the Church of the Serpent, Demid Bariman
Keeper of the Logrus, Suhuy Helgram
King's Champion
Queens's Champion
These last two are honorary and often not filled. There are also friends and allies of the King, his more trusted servants (for instance the Lord Chamberlain of Thelbane), and any number of other nobles who spend a great deal of time at court in an attempt to gain the King's favor and attention.
