Research Interests

My research interests are in the field of Transportation and Traffic Systems, and include demand modeling, discrete choice analysis, route choice modeling, traffic simulation, dynamic traffic assignment, optimization methods and their applications to traffic systems operations. My past work has involved the development of a dynamic traffic assignment system (called DynaMIT) for real-time traffic operations and planning applications. I have also worked on the important problem of simulation model calibration and validation in collaboration with Prof. Moshe Ben-Akiva at MIT and Prof. Haris N. Koutsopoulos at Northeastern University.
