The "trudge trudge trudge" plan which eventually led to our escape from the Ant Island, included capturing an ant's wagon, kiling the ant, propping him up on a pole in the front seat, and heading for the Official Ant Headquarters where the capturee's stuff had been put. The people still with stuff hid in the wagon. This plan wasn't really expected to fool the ants for long, which is why it dissolved into chaos when we reached the Headquarters without incident. This lack of faith in our disguise reminded Laura, at least, of the part of Winnie the Pooh where Pooh disguises himself as a storm cloud in order to fool the bees.
