Here's Miriam all dressed up on September 11 for her big adventure....
...and here's the big adventure -- on a Boston Harbor cruise with people from Jon's job at American Internet Corporation (which has since been acquired, along with Jon, by Cisco Systems).
On October 4, Jen and Seth Gordon helped us finish the construction and erection of our new wooden Succah, a marked improvement over last year's PVC Succah, seeing as how the wooden one didn't fall down twice during the holiday (actually, it didn't fall down even once).
Here we see the gang posing with their handiwork. The real mystery is why the center of attention seems to be Jon rather than either the Succah or the baby, both of which are more interesting.
Sometimes, Miriam actually listens when we tell her to look at the camera. Here's one example of that, from a picture taken around October 13. Note how different she looks here from how she looks in the picture from September 11 at the top of this page. It's amazing how fast they grow and change at this age.
Andrea says that she spent a lot of time "reading" when she was a baby. Here we see her introducing Miriam to the joys of reading.
And last but not least, for Andrea and me, a smiling Miriam is truly the most beautiful sight in the world. A picture, and certainly a grainy picture on a computer screen, can't capture it, but here's a little taste of it.
