The ring is available in three grades of gold: 10K, 14K, and 18K and two gold colors:
yellow and white. It is also available in Celestrium, a fine jeweler's
stainless steel, and in Elysium, which is 25% gold and includes other alloys like
palladium, a member of the platinum family, and resembles 10K yellow gold. Balfour Premium Silver, contains
90% silver.
The price includes all customizations described in the design page:
- Degree
- Department Icons
- Year & Initials
- Yellow or white gold or celestrium*
- Natural or antique finish*
* Celestrium rings only come in white color with antique finish.

Payment Options
Balfour offers seveal payment options for your GradRat:
- Pay in full - Pay with cash, money order, check (made payable to
Balfour), or Credit Card (MC, VISA, Amex, or Discover).
- Interest Free Credit Card Installment Plan - The total amount of the
ring, including shipping and handling and sales tax, will be divided into 6 equal payments. The first payment is charged
when the ring is ordered. Subsequent payments are charged every 30 days.
There is no extra charge for this plan, and you will receive your ring
at the normally scheduled delivery time.
- C.O.D. - Leave a $25 deposit when you place your order. The
balance is paid in full upon delivery of the ring (cash, personal check, or
money order made payable to Balfour).
- Trade-In Option - Balfour will accept the trade-in of a karat gold
high-school or college ring as credit towards the purchase of a GradRat.
The credit will be valued at the current gold salvage value on the day of
purchase. This option applies regardless of the manufacturer of the original
ring.
