The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a non-profit organization managed by students. NSBE's purpose is to increase the participation of minorities in the fields of engineering, engineering technologies, and applied science by focusing on the recruitment, retention, and graduation of future minority engineers and scientists. The organization is divided into six regions, and the regions are subdivided into zones. The New England Zone is a subdivision of Region One which consists of the northeastern United States and Montreal, Canada.
