Original Post:

MIT has completed the cleaning all of the sub-basements of buildings A
through K.  The contractors will begin working in the sub-basements and
lobbies after the holidays.  Details and the work schedule will be provided
prior to the start of the work.

Work has commenced with trenching and piping work in the Westgate Parking
lot and in Amherst Alley.  The trenching and piping work in and around the
buildings will be ongoing during the months of December and January in the
locations outlined at the October 5, 2005 Town Meeting.  Concurrently, on
an intermittent basis, the contractor will be taking a couple of parking
spaces for a few days to excavate and place pipe on Amherst Alley, Vasser
Street and Audrey Street.  The contractor will cone off the spaces the day
before work is scheduled to be performed in order to ensure that the spaces
are vacant and available to be accessed for work the next day.

No work is scheduled for December 16 through December 26 in recognition of
finals.

Finally,  No work is scheduled to take place in any apartments until after
February 1, 2006 (note: you will be notified at least 30 days before any work is done in your apartment).
