South end of the Room

You are in the south end of a spaceous room, its high vaulted ceiling lit by plain-looking fluorescent lights. To the far north of the chamber is a strange translucent door, through which you can see glints of colored light. To the east of the room is a strange, tubelike structure, sort of an overgrown piece of macaroni. To the west of the room is a neon sign that reads "Ha Ha Ha Ha." At the middle of the room, there seems to be some sort of plaque embedded in the floor.

As far as you can tell, all that distinguishes this part of the room is the panel on the wall. Now that you look at it, it seems to be a stone mosaic, depicting a chameleon sitting on a branch and somehow managing to look almost exactly like the orange sky behind it and the purple leaves it's perched upon. And, nearly hidden on the plaque, are three colored buttons, in blue, red, and yellow.
