Subject: LIST section

I am a developer at Athena, currently supported by OSF, charged
with the task of building an interactive help tool using UIL and Motif
widgets. I have had countless problems with the documentation and/or
UIL and Motif itself. For example, I find our snapshot7 uil compiler
won't grok LIST sections at all. If I put the include file
'XmAppl.uil' statement after the LIST, UIL barfs on the first
occurence of the word "list"; and if I put the include statement before
the LIST, it barfs on the first list_name (the word after "list"). I
also find that the convenience dialog PromptDialog, described in the
Motif docs, isn't listed in the UIL tables, and UIL doesn't know
"prompt_dialog". We also do not see any of the referenced appendices
of the UIL doc in our copy.

I've already wasted several days trying to figure out what UIL
actually does, as opposed to what the documentation claims that it
does. If I don't get more accurate information about what UIL will do,
I will have to drop UIL altogether. It's your money guys.
