Subject: Re: still think there's a bug in List
Cc: motif@ATHENA.MIT.EDU

   I will be working on Motif applications shortly, but I haven't started
yet. So, I am interested in finding out if you ever track down this bug.
   Since I don't yet know Motif, I'm afraid I can't offer any
knowledgable help. Knowing how these sorts of things work,
(i.e.-"warped" :-)
I can only think that perhaps either the "char *" is a pointer to
a different type of memory than the straight-forward string you'd
expect, or that in order for the List widget to allow lists of
foreign characters and words (such as Kanji (sp??)),
the strings may well be hidden inside of a struct. If the
latter is true, then a char * in the list object isn't where to look;
perhaps a struct in the list object is better, and the struct is
likely a generalized object defined in some other file (not list.c, but
something else that eventually gets into Xm.a).
   I'm reading my backlog of mail, so if this problem is already solved,
please ignore this message.
