has anyone run the parallax under x such that they are using both xlib and xtk
calls? i have a large body of code that runs using xtk exclusively, and i
would like to integrate parallax calls into it. the trouble is, all i have for
the parallax are xlib interfaces. several questions:

1. does anyone have xtk interfaces for the parallax?

2. if not, if i'm already running xtk, how do i get things like the gc, etc.,
   which are not available to xtk? do i have to run xlib in parallel? is there
   some package i can use for getting the xlib values from xtk?
