Hi Brian,

You were logged in, and I tried to zwrite you, but you didn't answer,
so you must have stepped away. I'm just sitting here feeling the flow of time
as R/O approaches...it's a sort of odd feeling this year. Maybe because I would
have graduated and left now if I had stayed the course and not dropped out. I
guess I'm feeling a little more detached than usual. I was also feeling a bit
poetic, or rather I guess a bit semi-poetic, since I wouldn't presume to judge
my writing good enough to be called poetry....but I try. I thought I'd share it
with you :-)

By the way, I still owe you dinner......let me know when you wanna go!

Oh well, I guess I'll just splutter off now!

					Ciao-for-now!

			The Difference
				by Rob Gates

		Falling or rising
		I cannot tell the difference.
Pulled downwards by a grasping pain
Pushed upwards by a wall of dark
		I cannot tell the difference

		I am a feather, and a rock
Heavy and light, up and down.
		Which way is the right?
		The left?
		I cannot tell the difference

Living on dreams, and on nightmares
Joy and fear, hope and hell
		Which is the light?
		The dark?
		I cannot tell the difference.
