Any MIT student, undergrad or grad is welcome to use the workstations
in the public clusters. If you wish to get a video workstation, you
probably should start by getting in touch with Jackie Stewart, who is
one of the leaders of the Visual Courseware Group at Project Athena.
Other options are having a professor contact Earll Murman, who is the
director of Project Athena. I do not recommend that a non-professor
type do this.

I'll warn you now, what you propose is difficult and not likely to
come about without significant politicking on the part of the
professor who leads your group. I wish you good luck, but there is
nothing more I can do to help.

Dan.

this is the help dan apple gave me. FYI
