I'm very sorry to hear about your father -- of course its ok to go 
to see him during IAP.  We'll figure out something for the project.

I'd like to get together with you early next week to brainstorm 
about the interface -- and then once we've got our thoughts 
straight, we should get Brian Michon involved too, since he's 
been thinking hard about the problem as well and is working on 
a related problem.

My orals are tomorrow, and I've got an all-day meeting Thursday,
followed by a 3-day marathon SIGCHI meeting in Boulder, but 
I'll be around alot more after that.  I hope you're feeling better 
and I'll see you next week (or possibly Thursday night).
