I'm not sure why there is so much messaging going on lately.
Perhaps I missed something ?
   I just wanted to let you know, I'm not upset.
(I am dissappointed at the way things turned out,
but these things happen.)
   I am not expecting you to do anything to fix anything.
There's nothing that is fixable.
   I suspect that there is a mis-understanding involving Rich and the login.
The loggin screen is the piece of code that prompts the user
for name, affliation , etc.; it interfaces to the SIGGRAPH registration
database, and invokes the Message Sender/Receiver/Browser. When the
Message Sender/Receiver/Browser exits, it invokes the loggout
piece of code, which sets up the screen for the sexy broadcast screen
with an eye-catching video.
   The loggin screen is the only UI screen I am dis-interested in.
I am not interested in writing code to interface to the SIGGRAPH
registration database either. I spoke to you about this.
   When I hear from Rich, it suddenly dawned on me that
(since the whole process is cyclical, you had taken the
loggin process to include the loggout proccess, too).
And apparently, given both pieces to Rich & Debbie.
This is an honest mistake.
   I *am* thoroughly dis-interested in the loggin process
(ie., the loggin screen and its interfacing to the registration databse,
name resolution, etc). I am interested in working on the
loggout process (including the video windows, and catchy display screen).
I will understand, though, if you hand the loggout process of
off to someone else, particularly since I am very overworked
right now doing the low-level Message Sender/Reciever/Browser stuff
and am not likely to have the time to work on the spiffy loggout
stuff, too. (Besides which, you may have already obligated yourself
to giving it to Rich & Debbie.)
   I suspect that this mis-understanding and the meeting with Suzanne
are probably behind this rush of messages lately. But, don't really
worry about it. *Honestly*. We have already been through our rough
spot on this sort of thing. Its already solved.
You are the boss. I may have offered resistance over some changes
awhile ago, but I gave in on those and have made an host effort
(oops "honest effort ...I typoed)
honest effort to change and be a team-player. I intend to continue
that effort. So, whatever you say goes. We don't have
enough time before SIGGRAPH to lose any.
