Subject: Rule Editor bug
Date: Mon, 06 Nov 89 00:34:26 EST

1. I deleted an action and the ruleeditor coredumped...

X Protocol error: BadDrawable, invalid Pixmap or Window parameter
Major opcode of failed request: 70 (X_PolyFillRectangle)
Minor opcode of failed request: 0
Resource id in failed request: 0x8000bc
Serial number of failed request: 5753
Current serial number in output stream: 5763

[1] Exit 1 rulebrowser -force remind

Just tried it again. Had three actions. Deleted one and that was
OK. Deleted a second one and I got the following:

% BRIDGETOWN /mit/mackay/argus/rulesets
% X Protocol error: BadDrawable, invalid Pixmap or Window parameter
Major opcode of failed request: 70 (X_PolyFillRectangle)
Minor opcode of failed request: 0
Resource id in failed request: 0x8000bc
Serial number of failed request: 7568
Current serial number in output stream: 7587

[1] Exit 1 rulebrowser -force remind

Arggghhh...

2. A variation of the last bug report. If I select a menu, it
should let me add a new field, and not be grayed out. (Since you
have two menu icons, it is not ambiguous where you want to add
a new field or action. And it doesn't make sense to have to select
a field before adding an action -- especially if you really want
to replace the field. There should be a default that it's added
to the bottom, unless the person has selected a field or the
control bar.)

3. The menu for the actions goes off the screen if the ruleeditor
is too low on the screen. (The rule browser has a detachable menu,
which is one solution. The other is what the old ruleeditor did, which
is to appear relative to the bottom of the screen.)

4. I can copy text from an Xterm into the rule name text box, but none
of the others.
