How do I use these GNOME mailing lists I keep hearing about?

The best place for up-to-date help and information on GNOME is the mailing lists. You can find them listed at The general-purpose list for help and discussion is To join this (or any) of the lists, send email to the request address, this is generally the list address with "-request" added to the name.
