Unfortunately, a problem was discovered between EZ and the new DECStation 5000 model 133's, relating to the size of the fonts used for the display. This is noticable mainly in two areas: setting the printer and previewing. When previewing, you will notice that the characters look bigger than they should. this is a problem between EZ and the X window server running on the machine, and will not affect your document, or how it will look when it is printed. When setting the printer, using the "Printer Setup" option from the "File" menu, you might notice that the area at the top of the the small card which would normally say "Name of printer:" is instead blank, and that typing in this area doesn't seem to do anything. If this happens, the easiest thing to do is to simply save your file as you normally would, and then print the file from an xterm using the command: athena% ezprint -Sprintername filename.ez For example, to print the file resume.ez when in the Student Center Cluster, you might do: athena% ezprint -Spython resume.ez For more information on ezprint, you can do either of: man ezprint ahelp ezprint or select "ezprint" from the "programs" list available from the window created by selecting the "Help" option from the front menucard within ez. Please note that we anticipate having solutions for these problems available soon, although a definite timeline is not yet possible, and that any other problems with these new machines, or any others, should be reported using the 'sendbug' program; i.e.: sendbug and using 'ez' as the 'Broken Program'.
