WHAT ARE Linux and NetBSD?

Both Linux and NetBSD are freely distributable, independent UNIX-like
operating systems available for several types of computers, including the
home PC. Both of these operating systems can co-exist with other
operating systems, like Windows.

NetBSD is no longer available in an Athena version. All pointers to
NetBSD-Athena are outdated, and it should not be installed. You are
free to install the standard NetBSD distribution, however Athena
Consulting cannot offer support for it.

I/S Linux-Athena is now the prefered and supported method for giving
Athena functionality to your home PC. More information on installing
I/S Linux-Athena is available in the "Linux" subtopic in this
directory.
