Here's a summary of how to include pictures using Scribe version 7. 1. Create your postscript file, either with idraw xfig & f2ps xwd & xpr xmath [just about anything that can create a PostScript file] 2. Print a sample copy of your graphic on a page by itself. 3. Measure the BOUNDING BOX of your graphic, to get four distances: a. from the left edge of the paper to the left edge of the graphic b. from the bottom edge of the paper to the bottom edge of the graphic c. from the left edge of the paper to the right edge of the graphic d. from the bottom edge of the paper to the top edge of the graphic 4. In your Scribe document, where you want the picture to appear, place: @Graphic(PostScript="graphicfilename.ps", BoundingBox="a, b, c, d") where a, b, c, & d are the four measurements made above. Example: @Graphic(PostScript="example.ps", Boundingbox=".25 inch, 1 inch, 6.25 inch, 11.3 cm") Often you will want to put the @Graphic command inside an @Center() so that the picture is centered left-to-right on the page. ================ In some cases, a simpler set of instructions can be used. For example, idraw output includes a correct bounding box, so instead of measuring it yourself, you can say: @Graphic(PostScript="graphicfilename.ps", BoundingBox=File) and then Scribe will get the information out of the file. Note that xfig file have a bounding box in them, but it's wrong, so if you use it the graphic will end up in the wrong place.
