In order to run the German version of FrameMaker, including German
help and menus, type:

	add frame
	imakergerman &

You can then click on "Offnen" to work on a current document or
"Neu" to create a new one.  If you are creating a new document,
choode a template from the German Templates directory (this is
important, as it ensures that the German dictionary is in use).

When the template opens, you can remove the Latin text already in the
document by selecting "Textfluss auswaehlen" from the "Bearbeiten" menu
and pressing the Delete(backspace) key.

To spell-check your paper, choose "Rechtschreibhilfe..." from the "Bearbeiten"
menu, then click on the "Pruefung beginnen" button.  When you are
done, type Ctrl-c to make the "Rechtschreibhilfe" window disappear.

To make an accent over a letter type:

Ctrl-r ' letter   for an Akut
Ctrl-r ` letter   for a Gravis
Ctrl-r ^ letter	  for a Zirkumflex
Ctrl-r , letter	  for a Cedille
Ctrl-r : letter	  for a Dieresis
Ctrl-r ~ letter	  for a Tilde
Ctrl-r * letter	  for an Angstrom

For a complete list of key sequences to generate accents and special
characters, start Frame with the English interface and open up the
Printed Manual Quick Reference after selecting HELP from the main
window.  You should select "book file (for printing)", and open up the
file called charsetx.

If you wish to edit a German document using English menus and help,
you can start Frame with "maker &"; using a template from the German
Templates directory will ensure that you use the German dictionary for
spelling corrections.
