In order to send mail to JANET sites, you need to know three things.

1. The username of the person you are sending mail to.

2. The name of the machine that the person receives mail on.  Note that mail
   addressing in the United Kingdom is usually "backwards" compared to the way
   Internet addresses are written here.  For example:

	UK.AC.CAM.BIO

   is a machine at CAMbridge, ACademic domain, UK (United Kingdom).  Reversing
   the order of the names, we come up with:

	BIO.CAM.AC.UK

   This should look more "correct" if you have sent mail to Internet sites in
   the United States.

   If you are not sure what the name of the machine is, you can browse a
   partial list by typing:

	attach  net-directory
	more  /mit/net-directory/host-tables/janet.sitelist

   At the end of this file, there is a table of machine names.  This list may
   not be up to date, so no guarantees are made.  The second column lists the
   hosts in the order that we want them (i.e.  "BIO.CAM.AC.UK").


3. Putting it all together gives an address of this form:

	user@janet-host

   In our example, we would have:

	user@bio.cam.ac.uk
