In MH 6.08 (the default for Athena releases prior to 8.3),
the scan command returned a message list with the sender's
email address.

The new Athena release (>= 8.3.0) includes NMH, which lists
messages with the sender's name by default.

--WARNING--

The changes suggested below will NOT WORK with previous
Athena releases and may cause SEVERE PROBLEMS if used in
such an environment.  If you plan to use any machines
running an older version of Athena (such as Linux boxes
running Linux-Athena 5.2), DO NOT make these modifications
unless you are sure you know what you are doing.

To configure scan to use the old format, type the following
commands:

	add consult
	cp /mit/consult/arch/common/lib/nmh/scan.address ~/Mail

Then add the following lines to ~/.mh_profile:

	scan: -form scan.address
	inc: -form scan.address

To revert to the new behavior, just remove the previous
lines from ~/.mh_profile.

Changes should take effect immediately.

To configure EXMH to use the new format, push the
Preferences button within exmh, then click "MH Tweaks", and
change Scan program from:

	scan

to

	scan -form scan.address
