If you want to connect several Xess spreadhseets together you want to
use the following procedure (after making sure that each user is on a
DECstation):

1) Each user should start up Xess.  

2) Every spreadsheet needs to be accepting connections.  Choose Accepting
   Connections from the Connections menu.  The worksheet should then say
   accepting connections in the upper right hand corner.

3) Determine the name of the machine that each user is on.  The
   simplest way to do this is to type:

	zlocate username

4) At your athena% prompt type (for each machine other than your own):

	athena% xhost +other_user's_machine_name

   For example, if you were on w20-575-1 and a friend was on w20-575-3, you
   would type:

	athena% xhost +w20-575-3

   and your friend would type:

	athena% xhost +w20-575-1
 
5) Type the following at your athena% prompt (for each machine):

	add xess
	xesslink machine_to_connect_to

   In the above example, you would use w20-575-3, and your friend would
   use w20-575-1.  You will notice that in your Xess spreadsheet that you
   have a new menu with the name of the other user's workstation.  If you
   select a section of your worksheet you can then choose send values
   from the workstation menu and those values will appear on the other
   user's workstation.

Note that this CAN cause complications if more than one person is working
in the same section of the worksheet because cells can be
overwritten. For example, if you want a certain value in A1 and your friend 
places another value there and sends it, your value of A1 is thus overwritten.
