Amber, the greatest source, which you may well know, for such prose is
Karen Blixen's Out of Africa. You probably should check out her letters
as well. There is no better writer about nature and landscape and no
better stylist--exquisite, lush, emotionally rich, poetic, very like a
landscape painter.
Good luck--a worthy project.

I think this is a posting that got lost somehow for a week, as I've
processed it twice. Although there is a chance that it got posted already
and I missed it. I have set up the process so I handle each item once or
twice before it posts and once afterwards, so that I filter out the unwanted
spam, and clean up items with errors and the extra markings and bad word
wrap. Every message gets some work over - generally of excess headers, etc.
Sometimes problems reappear with lay out, but that is the mystery of email
originating from so many sources. I try to make this posting process
invisible to you, as well as the constant maintenance of the subscribers I
do. FYI, all dead address postings bounce back to me and I delete
subscribers after a few bounce back. I delete a dead address a couple times
a month. Although I don't delete them until a lot of emails bounce back,
sometimes just one or two bounce for unknown reasons and then the address
seems to work OK again.
