- The question of who or what owns any given product
is a good one, since rights are generally shared. Royalities are one way
of determining who gets paid. Licensing a copyright also amounts to a form
of part-ownership.

- An author may copyright his or her work, but Viacom may
own it (i.e. owns the right to exploit it). Hence the terms 'limited' and
'exclusive' rights.
