The Realm calendar is solar, based on one full revolution around the sun, which as it happens equals 360 planetary rotations (give or take). This timespan is broken down into 10 months, which are further divided into 4 9-day weeks. The days of the week are (rather unimaginatively) Eintag, Zweitag, Dreitag, Viertag, Funfstag, Sechstag, Siebstag, Achtstag and Neunstag. [The months are Latin derivatives, CJ, help???] The Clan calendar is lunar, based on the full cycle of the moon's phases, which happens every 24 planetary rotations. These lunar months are divided into four 6-day weeks. The days of the week are labelled Startweek, Seconday, Thirday, Fourthday, Fifthday and Endweek. The location of the moon at midnight is also important--it drifts in an extended ellipse across the sky, going through different astrological regions. The months themselves are named after these regions; astrology is taken seriously in the Clanlands. There are 20 such regions, their names are: **[to be filled in later, along with an actual astrological system.]** There is a third calendar nobody really uses; the Stellar Calendar. It is based on the Stellar Equinox, which comes every 1080 days (3 Realm years). It is useful for mages, that's about it. (There's also the Stellar Solstice, the Stellar Epigee, the Stellar Perigee, and some other times and places...) IMPORTANT: 20x24=480, which is 4/3 of 360 days. Which is to say, the two years aren't the same length, or simple integral multiples of each other, although the relationship isn't complicated: 4 Realm years are 3 Clan years. Will this confuse people? Probably.
