FAMILY NAME:  This is the first name written.  Given family name is the same
 as that of one's same-gendered parent.  
PARENT NAME:  The identifier of one's opposite-gendered parent.  This is
 prefixed with "llo-" for males and "lle-" for females, and with a-, e-, i-,
 o- or u- to indicate order of birth (sixth+ children use u-).
 Parent-names remain in use (although not usually used in conversation) until
 the individual has had/sired a child, although sometimes a child will keep
 his parent name as a mark of respect for his/her parent.
IDENTIFIER: This is given at birth by the parents, and is the name the 
 person is usually called by.
CHILD NAME:  Used by grandparents to honor the progenitor of their first
 grandchild, by taking on that child's name as a final name, prefixed with
 "me-" for sons and "ma-" for daughters.  Only the first grandchild's parent 
 is usually honored in this fashion.
 
The above is standard naming procedure.  There are some exceptions/additions:
ADDITIONAL PARENT NAME: A person may choose to take on the name of a mentor,
 or of the same-gendered parent, or anyone else as a token of especial
 respect and esteem.  The standard "llo-" and "lle-" prefixes are used, but
 without the order prefix for non-parents.  Comes between parent-name and
 identifier.
ADDITIONAL CHILD NAME:  Can be used to honor a child, or a protege, or anyone
 else as a token of pride.  The individual's identifier is prefixed with 
 "mella-".  Comes after identifier.  This is a rare usage.
LIFE NAME:  Used as a token of respect among equals;  used to honor 
 one's lifemates but applicable to anyone.  The individual's identifier is
 hyphenated after one's own.  This is an incredibly rare honor when used for
 non-lifemates.
DELETIONS:  One can delete any one of one's regular names.  Except in the
 case of one's parent-name upon having a child, this is a mark of great
 disrespect/contempt, either for the family or for oneself. 
SPECIAL FORMS:  A bastard or an orphan takes "llo-Realm" as a parent
 name,[unless he is adopted into a family, in which case he takes his adopted 
 parent's, becoming blood-kin to siblings. Unadopted orphans have no family 
 name.]  Those who take on life-quests usually take on an appropriate parent- 
 name.  There are others; these are less customary and more up to the person.

All of the above regards one's "calling name," the name used in conversation
 and written exchange.  There is also the "full," or "record name," which is
 far longer and used only in the Realm Archives.
FULL NAME:  Consists of family names and parent-names for both parents,
 identifier, life-names, child-names for all children (at their birth), and any
 additions the individual chooses.  Those that are deleted from the calling
 name are starred in the full name.

*TRUE NAME* 
These are something entirely different.  They represent, in some
bizarre metaphysical fashion, the individual's soul.  A rose's
truename is what makes it smell sweet, among other things.
Individuals for the most part do not know their truenames, it takes
study, meditation, introspection and lots of work to ferret it out.
(this'll get interesting if there are any charachters who habitually swear
 by the name of a particular diety.... what happens if it's power suddenly
