  Ursik are humanoid, averaging 8', 300 lbs.  They are fur-covered,
varying from brown to black, and are vaguely reminiscent of bears.  
They are found everywhere, but most often in forest or jungle areas.  
They usually travel alone or in small groups, and as far as is known,
they have no habitations or technology.  They are herbivores.

  Ursik are highly magical, although spellcasters are rare among them.
Their magic is innate, consisting of a mystical attunement with the
world around them.  They can stimulate the growth of plants, can
travel through underbrush without a trace, and it is said that they
can hide within arms' reach of other races and not be seen.  

  As a culture, ursik appear devoted to the amassing of knowledge and
its understanding.  They come together regularly to share their
discoveries of the world, and actively seek out places where such
knowledge can be gained.  They seem more interested in philosophy and
theory than in engineering, which makes them something of an enigma to
the technological races of the world.
