Talents (these are new talents that didn't exist before, or powers that may be bought as talents) Spellcaster Talents (see spellcaster) Spiritualist Talents (see spiritualist) Martial Artist Talents (see martial-artist) Witch Talents (see witch) Eidetic memory may not be purchased. See eidetic imagery and mnemonics. Eidetic imagery is the ability to recall events visually, literally calling forth an image of the scene and inspecting it. Characters with this ability may inspect a scene for things they did not notice originally, as if they were viewing a photograph or film. They may call up a book they have studied and read it again, for example. However, this talent does not increase your ability to remember things per se -- a character with eidetic imagery is as capable of forgetting a phone number, directions to a hotel, a page of a spellbook or what the suspect looked like as anybody else, it is simply that the things he or she does remember are remembered in fuller detail. Thus, appropriate knowledge skills are extremely useful with this talent. Eidetic imagery costs 5 points. Mnemonics is the ability to retain data that normal people will forget or never absorb in the first place. Hundred-digit numbers, long lists of names, unpronouncable gibberish, whatever -- the mnemonist is capable of retaining it with no more difficulty than a normal human retains a name or telephone number. This does not impart exceptional ability to recall things that have been forgotten, but does impart the ability to remember something for as long as the character concentrates on doing so. Note that both eidetic imagery and mnemonics allow the character to purchase skills like KS: Residents of Banthrogf -- things a normal human simply could not purchase.
