The Greystone Cliffs, located on the far eastern border of the Clans,
is a land rich in metals and gems, and the people of Greystone are
excellent metalsmiths and jewelry workers.  It is with those
skills and resources that the Clan has made its fortune; your goods
are bartered throughout the Clans in return for food and beasts of
burden.  

It was an incident at Greystone ten years ago that prompted the
movement of many of Clansmen to reopen the border to the Western
Realm.  In a secluded section of the Diamond family holdings were
found the bodies of Cliff Diamond Greystone (the youngest brother of
The Greystone, Sword Diamond), a clanswoman, a Realmsman, and most
surprisingly, the OutClanned Storm Bluemist.  Even though the bodies
were found on thier land, the Diamond family was not implicated in the
deaths.  However, the penetration of this unlikely group this far into
Clan territory caused some of the younger Clansmen to urge the opening
of the border, on the theory that if you can't keep them out, you
should at least make it easier to regulate their traffic.

Upon the death of his younger brother Cliff, Victor Diamond took on
the task of acting as guardian to Cliff's ailing wife Ruby, and his
six year old daughter Joy.  Ruby died of a wasting disease some months
later, leaving Joy solely in Victor's care.

After a period of decline under Sword Diamond (who died of the same
wasting disease some nine years ago), his brother Victor has brought
the Clan back to its former glory.  Five years ago, Victor, being
childless, named his niece Joy his heir.
