8.701: Introduction to
Nuclear and Particle Physics Enrollment: 13 8.701 is a graduate-level course which
explores the foundations of nuclear and particle physics,
and the fundamental forces and particles found therein.
It was difficult to get a feel for the
class overall. Very few comments were received in regard to
this class, and those that were received were extremely
specific. One person wanted to see more example problems in
class; both he and another student suggested referring to
Professor Milner's notes. The only student commenting on the
content felt that it was good; however, he wanted to
consolidate the textbooks. Two people felt that the problem
sets were too vague; another commented that the last four
were too difficult.
