Sending an e-mail notification for a daily note or day event
Depending on how you set your preferences, you may be prompted to send an e-mail notification to invitees. (See Sending notification of new, modified, or deleted entries for more information on setting notification preferences.) If you click Yes, the Mail Message dialog box opens. By default, all invitees' names appear in the list of recipients, unless they have chosen not to receive e-mail notification of new entries.
If you want to send an e-mail to invitees after creating a daily note or day event, right-click the entry and select Send Mail to open the Mail Message dialog box.
In the Mail Message dialog box you can:
- Remove an invitee from the list of recipients by selecting the user's name and clicking Remove.
- Add a user who is not an invitee to the list of recipients by entering the user's name in the Other field of the Mail Message dialog box and clicking the Checkmark button or by performing a search for the user by clicking the Search button.
- Send the e-mail notification to yourself by clicking Owner.
- Send the e-mail notification to the designate of the resource you invited to the entry by clicking Resource designates.
- The Message area contains information about the entry that will appear in the body of the e-mail. You can add to or edit the information.
- You can also choose to send the entry information as iCalendar or vCalendar data to external attendees by selecting the iCalendar format or vCalendar format check boxes.
