About scheduling meeting rooms and other resources
In addition to inviting people to attend meetings, you can also schedule resources, such as the conference room where you plan to hold the meeting, or a slide projector you need for a presentation.
There are different types of resource categories:
- No approval required: Approval by the resource administrator is not required. Scheduling of this resource is on a first come, first served basis.
- Requires approval: Approval by the resource administrator is required. When you attempt to schedule a resource that requires approval, an e-mail request is sent to the resource administrator. If the administrator approves the request, the resource will appear with a checkmark in the list of meeting invitees. If the request is rejected, the resource will appear with X in the list of meeting invitees.
- Allows conflicts: The resource does not require approval and can be double-booked.
- Does not allow conflicts: The resource requires approval and double-booking is not permitted.
