A Designate is someone to whom you have given rights to work in your
Agenda, using your name. Designates can only perform operations you have
given them the right to carry out. You may give
Designate Rights to as many users as you wish.
In another user's Agenda or Task View
Working as a Designate for a user lets you view, create, edit or delete
Entries as if you were that user, according to the Designate rights you
were granted. If you create an Entry while working as a Designate in another
user's Agenda or Task View, it is as if it were proposed by the Agenda's
owner. To edit an Entry that you created while working as a Designate,
you must be working as a Designate for that same person.
If more than one user has granted you Designate Rights:
The list of users appears in the Act as designate dialog box. Select a
user for whom you wish to work as a Designate.
You can either:
-
Open the Agenda or Task View of that user as a Designate
-
Open a Group View with that user while working as that user's Designate.
This lets you schedule Meetings with several people while viewing the free
and busy times in their Agendas.
To work as a Resource's Designate
To work as a Designate for a Resource , you or someone else must first
sign in as the Resource and grant the necessary Designate Rights.
