DESCRIPTION The BulletinBoard widget is a simple composite widget used most often to contain other widgets. The BulletinBoard widget enforces no ordering or positioning on its children and so it is up to the application to specify the x, y coordinates of each child inserted. If no x,y coordinates are specified for its children, they are all placed at 0,0. For more detailed information on the BulletinBoard Widget, see the following Section in the OPEN LOOK Intrinsics Toolkit Widget Set Reference Manual: . BULLETINBOARD WIDGET (3W) EXAMPLE CODE The following code could be used to Create the example BulletinBoard Widget shown in the Table (All color specific code has been removed for simplification): /*****************************************************************************/ /* Header files ALWAYS required */ #include #include #include #include #include /****************************************************************************/ main(argc, argv) int argc; char **argv; { Widget toplevel, bulletinboard, textfield; toplevel = OlInitialize(argv[0], "Test", NULL, 0, &argc, argv); /* * Create Example BulletinBoard * containing a TextField at position (0,0). */ bulletinboard = XtVaCreateManagedWidget("bboard", bulletinBoardWidgetClass, toplevel, XtNborderWidth, (XtArgVal) 1, XtNlayout, (XtArgVal)OL_IGNORE, XtNwidth, (XtArgVal) 90, XtNheight, (XtArgVal) 60, NULL); textfield = XtVaCreateManagedWidget("textfield", textFieldWidgetClass, bulletinboard, XtNx, (XtArgVal) 0, XtNy, (XtArgVal) 0, XtNmaximumSize, (XtArgVal) 12, NULL); XtRealizeWidget(toplevel); XtMainLoop(); } /****************************************************************************/ RESOURCES _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Resource Name Type Default Brief Description _______________________________________________________________________________________________ XtNancestorSensitive Boolean TRUE Will immediate parent receive events?
