The fsp-shell consists of the following files: fsp - The FSP shell fsp.1l - A Man page. fspsh.cf - The global FSP hosttable. fsprc - A Example ~/.fsprc file. listconv - To convert the 'official' FSP_SITES file to fspsh.cf format. The fspshell is copyrighted to Ove Ruben R Olsen (c) 1992,1993. For a detalied copyright notice check the fsp-script. The laitest version of this package is to be found on taxus.uib.no 9000. Read the 00README file there. To run these files/script/programs you need perl. If you do not have perl on you system, either install perl or forget about these programs. The shell is still in a kind of BETA mode... Thus some of the commands may or may not work... depens on how you treat them... >:) ------ This is a simple frontend for the fsp programs. I did not like the way to work with fsp, so I did this quick hack. Now it's not much of a difference either I use ftp of fsp >:) The fspshell looks for hosts in the /local/lib/fspsh.cf, and ~/.fsphosts. At last it looks for a ~/.fsprc. Features/commands: ! - Recall previous commands. alias - Command aliasing. cd - Change client's current working directory in the FSP host. chmod - Get or set permissions for directories in the FSP host. edit - Edit the hostfiles. get - Download files from the FSP host. help - Gives help. history - List the history table. host - Opens a new host from the hosttable. lcd - Change local directory. list - List the internal hosttable. ls - list the contents of a FSP host. mkdir - Create directories in the FSP host. message - Compose a message and put it on the FSP host. msg - Create a "message" file on the FSP host. more - Page a file from the FSP host thru a pager. ping - Will check if current FSP host is alive (but not if the FSP is). put - Upload files to the FSP host. pwd - Print working directory at the FSP host. quit - Quits fsp-shell. redit - Remotely edit a file at the FSP host. rm - Remove files from the FSP host. rmdir - Remove directories from the FSP host. show - Copy files in the FSP host to stdout. ver - Displays the version number string local and of the FSP host. zget - Fetch a compressed file and uncompress it. zmore - Page a compressed file from the FSP host thru a pager. zput - Put a file in compressed for to the FSP host. ------ IF fsp is going to be a winer (lot's of "serious" sites) I may develop this shit futher on. As status quo is right now, there are too much junk lying around... BTW: I realy don't like fsp, too cumbersome. This is the only way I can use it ! \Ruben.
