BUSER LEADS IDITAROD: Martin Buser of Big Lake, Alaska, traveled a fast trail to Nikolai Tuesday to become the first musher to reach the village's community hall, the 10th checkpoint 365 miles into the 1,163-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Other mushers appeared to be taking their 24-hour mandatory layover at Rohn Roadhouse, 272 miles into the race, said Joanne Potts, Iditarod race coordinator.
