BO SAYS HE WILL HAVE SURGERY:
   Bo Jackson admitted Tuesday that his days as a baseball player 
could be over and said he will have surgery this summer, possibly 
a hip replacement, in hopes recovering. "Realistically, yesterday 
could've been my last at-bat in the major leagues." After several 
moves Tuesday, the Chicago White Sox signed Jackson to a one-year 
minimum salary contract of $109,000, plus two option years. Also, 
Pittsburgh traded Neal Heaton to Kansas City for Kirk Gibson.
    
TWO MORE MAKE NCAA TOURNEY:
   Two more bids to the NCAA men's basketball tournament were 
awarded Tuesday. Fordham (18-12) beat Bucknell 70-65 to win the 
Patriot League championship. It will be the Rams' first trip to 
the tournament since 1971, when they went 26-3 under coach Digger 
Phelps. Also, Eastern Illinois (17-13) defeated Illinois-Chicago 
83-68 to win the Mid-Continent Conference tournament championship.
    
LEBLANC IMPRESSIVE IN DEBUT:
   U.S. Olympian Ray LeBlanc made the most of his NHL debut 
Tuesday, stopping 21 shots in the Chicago Blackhawks' 5-1 win over 
the San Jose Sharks. LeBlanc has played in the minor leagues since 
1985.
